Yesterday when I was in line at the grocery store I heard someone say - hey Grampa and it turned out to be the lady I gave a puppy to 10 years ago. 10 years ago when I gave her the puppy it was a giant leap of faith because she told me she was living in a van in the bush because she was trying to beat a cocaine problem. And she had a dream visit from Sprit Bear who told her she could win the battle if she had a good dog by her side. At first I told her I wouldn't give her the dog but after a few minutes I could tell that the pup was destined to be hers. A year or so later I started seeing her in town taking care of business (her new window washing service) and she had 2 dogs by her side - the dog I gave her and one of it's pups. Now whenever I see her she tells her dogs I'm their Grandpa. I'm always a little sad after I talk to her because I start missing the father of the pup that help change her. The photo is the father of that pup - Sundance (RIP) Attachments:
