It's a well know fact that during the Vietnam war draft dodgers from the USA fled to Canada. What's not so well know is some of them were University botanist and genetic engineering students that had a love/interest/curiosity for cannabis and a strong desire to make cannabis all it could be.
Legend has it that they some how knew Vancouver Island was were they would find their answers/purpose - sort of like that mashed potato thing in Close Encounters Of The 3rd Kind - I guess
Anyway after a breath taking drive threw the Rocky mountains and a scenic trip across the Straight of Georgia they arrived on Vancouver Island and hooked up with some of the local cannabis growers/botanist and genetic engineering students that also had a love/interest/curiosity for cannabis and a strong desire to make cannabis all it could be.
Then they got busy with researching and developing.
After a few years the war on drugs was in full swing and it made the Vancouver Island cannabis team mad because cannabis was included in the war so they got really - really busy and started burring the mid night oil trying to find out every thing they could about cannabis.
In the early 90's they started sharing their cannabis knowledge on the Internet with the World – the media/press started calling it a New Type Of Brain Drain and it frustrated the (H – E - Double Hockey Sticks) out of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police because they knew they couldn't stop it partly because sharing information wasn't a crime and partly because the cannabis team included computer nerds that piggy backed on other signals to keep their location secrete. Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Cheers!
